The New Year

Now that we have entered the new year, lets take a look back on our year. The year started out kind of rough due to a fire close by which forced us to close the hotel temporarily as a cause of smoke damage.  We opened back up however after some deep cleaning and we were back in business!
In January, we got a laundromat! Conveniently located on Baker st, people were happy to hear about it because they could go run their errands while waiting for their clothes to dry!
Closely after that in February, all of our rooms got brand new beds! They were such a hit with the guests, we had people calling in and ordering them from the furniture store attached to the hotel.
Our summer was very eventful and a lot of friendly, interesting people came through. Ending the summer on a happy note was the 10th Annual Road Kings Queen City Cruise. We got to see some familiar faces as well as some new ones!
Fall went by in a flash and suddenly it’s Winter. Skiers and snowboarders are coming from all over the place to come experience some Kootenay powder! I can’t blame them though.

All in all, I would say 2011 was a great year! We look forward to 2012, and hope all the best to you.
