Kaslo hits Bloom mark

Kaslo is celebrating a successful performance in the provincial Communities in Bloom competition along with special recognition for the SS Moyie.

The village received an overall mark of 80 per cent, worth four out of five blooms on the civic beautification program’s scale.

However, early settlers and today’s locals have certainly made strides to assist in the balance between native and introduced plants … and modern elements such as sidewalks, lighting, and art.

The SS Moyie is more than a national historic site; it is a local treasure. It occupies a very special place in the hearts of residents, and they share it with pride and enthusiasm with anyone who has the time to visit.”
